{"id":187025,"date":"2025-11-03T20:26:17","date_gmt":"2025-11-03T09:26:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/latteluxurynews.com\/?p=187025"},"modified":"2025-11-03T20:27:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-03T09:27:13","slug":"fiji-levelling-up-for-luxury-traveller-tourism-fiji","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/latteluxurynews.com\/2025\/11\/03\/fiji-levelling-up-for-luxury-traveller-tourism-fiji\/","title":{"rendered":"Fiji levelling up for luxury traveller: Tourism Fiji"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Fiji\u2019s tourism industry is undergoing a transformation, redefining itself as a premier destination for luxury travellers, according to <strong>Tourism Fiji Trade Engagement Manager Juliet Miall<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at a recent <strong>Tourism Fiji <\/strong>event aboard luxury yacht <em>Mischief<\/em>, Miall reflected on how far the nation has come in repositioning itself as a high-end destination. &#8220;When I first started at Tourism Fiji, luxury was not really a thing because we got judged on the number of people that go to the country,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/latteluxurynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Juliet-Miall-Tourism-Fiji.png\" alt=\"Tourism Fiji luxury\" width=\"1132\" height=\"560\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>However, luxury travellers spend more in destination, she pointed out, saying that this reality prompted her to try to shift the focus. &#8220;I wanted to be judged by the top-level luxury that we can bring to Fiji,&#8221; she said. &#8220;And I think we\u2019ve done that really, really well.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fiji\u2019s luxury offering has matured significantly now with between 10 and 12 &#8220;true luxury&#8221; resorts, according to Miall. \u201cIn the old days, Turtle Island was the only luxury resort in Fiji, and now we\u2019ve got just so many beautiful resorts,\u201d she told <strong><em>LATTE<\/em><\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;We\u2019re seeing a lot more luxury going to Fiji. It used to be like, \u2018I\u2019m not going to just Fiji,\u2019 but now it\u2019s, \u2018I\u2019m going to Fiji,\u2019 and people are proud to talk about that at their barbecues or cocktail parties.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/latteluxurynews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Vomo-The-Residence-Pool-twilight-1132x560-1.jpg\" alt=\"Tourism Fiji luxury\" width=\"1132\" height=\"560\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>From the famed Coral Coast to world-class island resorts, Fiji is now home to \u201cbeautiful luxury properties,\u201d she continued. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cSix Senses is at the top of its game with that, and now we can introduce accommodations with ships like Mischief \u2014 it doesn\u2019t get any better, and it\u2019s so close, it\u2019s so easy, it\u2019s family friendly.
