The\u00a0Luxury Travel Collectio<\/strong>n\u00a0(LTC)\u00a0has quietly launched a new advisor level\u00a0option\u00a0for high-yielding\u00a0independent travel specialists\u00a0to join the luxury business.\u00a0Called The Club by LTC<\/strong>, the division aims to offer a solution for independent contractors and mobile\u00a0advisors who want to be part of FCTG\u2019s flourishing specialist high-end travel arm.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Details of The Club by LTC, along with LTC\u2019s\u00a0planned entry into the New Zealand market were confirmed this week at the group\u2019s Global Business Owners Harbour\u00a0Soir\u00e9e in Hong Kong.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking with\u00a0LATTE<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0at the three-night conference,\u00a0Nikki Glading, General Manager of LTC\u00a0<\/strong>said since launching two years ago the intention was\u00a0to expand across\u00a0\u2018the ditch\u2019,<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0soaring\u00a0demand\u00a0meaning the time was right, now.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LTC expansion to New Zealand builds on demand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe were always going to launch New Zealand because the markets are so closely aligned, and so similar in a lot of ways, but also so different. I think the LTC has some good \u2018friends\u2019 already in the luxury community in New Zealand,\u201d Glading said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LTC\u2019s plan for New Zealand will be to grow \u201cas large as the number of\u00a0right people\u00a0for our community requires,\u201d she said. \u201cOur criteria\u00a0is\u00a0not changing.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0been there since day one. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They need to be\u00a0entrepreneurs, they need to embrace our core values, be\u00a0known for a strong focus on service, a high reputation for luxury business, and suppliers need to feel that they are relationship-based.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Danielle Galloway, <\/strong>Global MD Luxury & Independent, Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG)<\/strong> admits LTC\u2019s entry into New Zealand is \u201cprobably before we necessarily would have wanted, but it\u2019s fantastic to see and we\u2019re being bold in terms of taking on those other pathways to get more of the right members that are asking to be part of the community.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galloway indicated there will be announcements of new members imminently. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We think our investment of being on the ground in a market that has different nuances to the Australian market, and\u00a0recognising\u00a0those differences, and having somebody on the ground is also an advancement in terms of the focus on New Zealand, and\u00a0it\u00a0recognises\u00a0that there is a lot of growth\u00a0that\u2019s happening in the luxury space\u00a0there”.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We\u2019re\u00a0hearing that from our partners,\u00a0and also,\u00a0many of our customer interactions,\u201d Galloway told\u00a0LATTE<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since launching in 2023,\u00a0LTC has increased its membership from seven to 25 members, with a 100% retention rate.\u00a0Since Q1 2025, LTC has welcomed five newcomers, with the\u00a0latest\u00a0being\u00a0Bespoke Journeys and Why Travel<\/a> who came online this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEverybody is happy. Everybody is staying. They have great, strong relationships with our partners. Shannon [Fogarty, Head of Product for LTC] and her team are procuring a really refined range for the Galleries De Luxe collection, which is putting amazing product on the shelf for our members to choose from.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

LTC’s\u00a025 members\u00a0represent\u00a086 locations across Australia and have more than 500 advisors.\u00a0Last FY, the Luxury Travel Collection\u00a0witnessed\u00a084% growth in TTV, and the brand is forecasting to double that figure this\u00a0financial year.\u00a0Touring and cruising are both strong sellers, along with \u2013\u00a0somewhat surprisingly, notes Glading \u2013 are\u00a0air sales.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSince launching in 2023, the influence of the members of LTC have made a big noise in the luxury travel industry in Australia and New Zealand,\u201d Glading said. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Where The Club by LTC fits in<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Club by LTC is the new, word-of-mouth exclusive group of luxury advisors who are joining LTC for the same reason that member agencies have done, which is \u201cto become part of a very special luxury community,\u201d the head of LTC remarked. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA reimagined luxury advisor model that is there to cater for a need for people who want to be a part of what we are doing,\u201d Glading explains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new advisor level means LTC has three options for potential members to join. The Classic model which was rolled out from the outset to the initial seven members, an Affiliate membership whereby members of other consortia can purchase luxury products through LTC\u2019s \u2018House of Luxury\u2019 offering, and now at the Advisor level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSome of our members are host agencies for brokers. We are now going to be a host agency for these independent advisors. They may be part of another high-profile agency group who are looking for something unique and different, with a lot more support.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are being quite careful. We have an amazing advisor network in-market already, which is Envoyage, a sister-brand to us, and we\u2019ve also got amazing members in Link and LTC that also host. We don\u2019t want to come in and try and steal from our family, but there is demand.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glading adds, \u201cthe joining criteria has not, and will not change. High performance and profitable results.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Galloway adds, \u201cIn such a short time, LTC is really influencing the market in terms of people wanting to go beyond the model that we\u2019re offering to be part of the community.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve held out, but now it would be silly to continue to do so. There\u2019s way too many and they are the right members to be part of LTC. Demand has created expansion.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Glading and Galloway say the potential for The Club by LTC within the first 12 months would sit around 10 independent advisors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We\u2019re\u00a0keeping it quite exclusive,” Galloway said.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When the right people come along,\u00a0we\u2019ll\u00a0know,” added Glading.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
